Kingwood Schools: What Relocating Families Should Know
A practical guide to Kingwood schools, Humble ISD zoning and address-level verification for relocating families.

Why the address matters
A Kingwood mailing address does not always identify the school district or campus. Nearby newer communities may have different zoning from traditional Kingwood villages.
Look beyond ratings
Programs, class offerings, transportation, student needs and campus culture can matter as much as a numerical rating. Families should review official information and visit when possible.
A Realtor’s proper role
I can help you verify zoning and compare practical routines, but families should evaluate schools using their own priorities and official district sources.
Start with the 2026–2027 district tools
Use Humble ISD’s Attendance Zones and Bus Routes page for the actual street address. For nearby addresses outside that district, use New Caney ISD’s attendance-zone maps and district street listing. Save the result and confirm it with the registrar before relying on a listing. A village name, ZIP code or proximity to a school does not establish eligibility.
A campus starting list—not a feeder chart
Kingwood High School and Kingwood Park High School are useful starting points for secondary research. Kingwood Middle, Creekwood Middle and Riverwood Middle are among the campuses families investigate. Elementary options named in the main guide include Bear Branch, Deerwood, Elm Grove, Foster, Greentree, Hidden Hollow, Kingwood, Maplebrook, Oak Forest, Shadow Forest, Willow Creek and Woodland Hills. This list describes campuses to research; it does not assign any home or guarantee admission.
Enrollment and midyear transfers
Contact the assigned campus registrar before arrival. Use the current district enrollment portal and ask for the documentation checklist applicable to your student. Confirm residency evidence, identity and age records, academic records and health documentation. For a move from another country, ask how transcripts are evaluated and what translations are needed. Keep enrollment confirmation separate from a submitted application.
Bus eligibility and daily routines
Humble ISD’s 2026–2027 guidance directs families to the address-based system and eligible bus registration. Addresses in a Parent Responsibility Zone may not qualify for service. Confirm the current stop and pickup procedure directly. Also plan after-school transportation, childcare and extracurricular pickup; these may follow different rules from the regular school day.
Programs and school visits
Ask campuses about course placement, advanced academics, career pathways, language services and support for an individual student’s needs. Check application windows and eligibility for specialized programs instead of assuming they are available at every campus. Compare the latest official Texas Education Agency information with campus visits and your own priorities. Numerical ratings alone do not describe the entire school experience.
Sources and verification
Local details can change. Verify school zones, taxes, insurance, flood information, travel times and service availability for the exact address.
